November Wine Pick: Cantele Salice Salentino Riserva 2009

This WINE PICK of the month was written for the Luke's of Cape Cod website.

Probably the sleekest bottle label ever.
In the heel of Italy’s boot there is Puglia. In Puglia there is Salice Salentino. That is where this particular wine is made, with 100% negroamaro grapes.

October Wine Pick: Guy Saget La Petite Perriere Sauvignon Blanc 2012

This WINE PICK of the month was written for the Luke's of Cape Cod website.

So refreshing it's a crime... against... thirst? Yeah.
I am absolutely in love with this wine. I’ve contemplated running away with it and starting a new life but have concluded that would just be weird. This is some fantastic Sauvignon Blanc juice from Verdigny and Cher, a commune of two villages in Sancerre, France.

July Wine Pick: Truro Vineyards Cabernet Franc 2011

This WINE PICK of the month was written for the Luke's of Cape Cod website.

SMELL. IT. ALL. DAY. SON!
Cabernet Franc loves sandy soil, prolonged summers, cool climates and nice breezes. All of these things make it the perfect red grape to grow on Cape Cod. Truro Vineyards also uses open vat fermentation for the local natural yeasts, just like they do for Cab Franc in Loire Valley, to really capture Cape Cod in a bottle.

June Wine Pick: Count Karolyi Gruner Veltliner

This WINE PICK of the month was written for the Luke's of Cape Cod website.

Gruner Vetliner is a native white grape of Austria but here we have one from Tulna, Hungary that really delivers. Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc drinkers looking to try something different will want to check this one out.
