ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Joey Casco. I live on Cape Cod, I'm in my 40's, married to a nurse, and the father of two girls. I'm also an enormous Boston Bruins fan.
I have worked for Luke's of Cape Cod for a total of 16 years, was the fine wine manager at Dennisport (Massachusetts) from 2011 to 2018, and am now the Beverage Marketer for the chain. I'm a Certified Specialist of Wine and a Certified Specialist of Spirits.
If you played Sid Meyer's Civilization III for PC in the beginning of the 2000's, you may remember my animated leaderheads under the handle sween32. I haven't been involved in that community for years but my work is still pretty popular.
I was even a web designer for a few years before a client drought forced me into the wine and spirits industry in 2004. My introduction to wine started there but the interest to really get into it came from my preexisting condition of being a history geek. I soon realized that I enjoyed wine far greater than any other adult beverage, and I've been in love with it ever since.

ABOUT THE BLOG
The Wine Stalker started as a Facebook page in the summer of 2013 to follow my CSW studies. It then became a blog, and joined other social media outlets, in April of 2014 after I had passed and could devote time to things other than cramming my face full of flash cards.
For years six years the content was pretty diverse with heavy, educational long reads, shorter posts, original memes, recipes and LOTS of wine reviews. All while building a social media following and making top wine blogger lists.
Right now, while still planning on writing reviews every once in awhile, I've decided to wind things down a bit on writing and change things up by creating a podcast called Grapes & Capes where I taste wine with my co-host Mike and geek out about comics.
