In case you missed my announcement in "Winding Things Down", the blog will be changing in 2020. I'll still be here and I'll still be posting, but I cannot continue to treat it like a second job. I'd like to spontaneously watch a movie with my wife at night without rushing to catch up to my own schedule here, ya know? I need some freedom and my nights back.
So reviews will all be more like the "quickies" I've been writing (which people seem to like more than my full reviews anyways) and I'm not going to try and keep it to certain days of the week that they're released. I'll post when I can, but I'm not going to worry about keeping a pace. Wine Pick of the Month will definitely still be a thing on the first of the month, though.
But this all doesn't start until next year (and maybe not until February, pending discussions on something special). So what's up with December? There's Scotch aged in Sherry casks, two stouts, a Port, another Californian Chardonnay other than this one, two wines from Riax Biax, cocktails with Oso de Doro, Pedro Ximenez Sherry, Cream Sherry, and two Cavas for New Year's. Also, we gotta round up the best of the Fall!
My wine pick for the month is the 2017 vintage of Panthera Chardonnay, which is produced by Hess Family Wine Estates. The first vintage of Panthera was the 2016 vintage and I fell in love with it, and it remains the same with the 2017. It's 100% Chardonnay from R.R. and aged in 35% new French oak barrels for 18 months, and it has an ABV of 14.8% (!!!).
It's light gold in color. The nose is dominated by vanilla, followed by pineapple, apple, butter, honey, and ginger. Damn I love the smell of oaky Chardonnay. On the palate it's full bodied with a rich mouthfeel and a bright acidity that lifts up the weight of the wine. There's flavors of vanilla, pineapple, apple, banana, and butter. Then it finishes with a thick coating in your mouth of apples and banana.
I'm still in love with this wine. It's oaky and buttery and hedonistic and gorgeous. And it's my wine pick of the month, so go get it!

This one is rich and spicy and the first blend I've really enjoyed which is to say I'm going now to pour another.

I downloaded a crypto wallet app that appeared legitimate, complete with a sleek interface and positive user reviews. Trusting my instincts, I deposited a substantial amount of $180,000 into the wallet, convinced that I was making a wise investment. However, my optimism quickly turned to despair when I woke up one morning to find that the entire platform had vanished overnight, along with my hard-earned money. The scammers had executed their plan flawlessly, shutting down the app and leaving me with nothing but empty promises and a drained account. In a state of panic and fury, I scoured the internet for solutions, desperately seeking a way to recover my lost funds. It was during this frantic search that I stumbled upon Passcode Cyber Recovery , a company that specializes in tracking and recovering stolen cryptocurrency. Intrigued and hopeful, I reached out to their team, who moved swiftly to address my situation. The experts at Passcode Cyber Recovery identified the scammer’s accounts and were working diligently with legal authorities to freeze those assets. While I understood that no recovery is guaranteed, Passcode Cyber Recovery provided me with a fighting chance, something I had thought was impossible after the app had disappeared without a trace. Their professionalism and expertise instilled a sense of hope in me during a time of despair. This traumatic experience taught me two critical lessons that I wish I had learned before: first, never trust unverified wallet apps, and second, never deposit large sums of money without conducting thorough research. Scammers are adept at designing platforms that look legitimate, only to pull the rug out from under unsuspecting users when they least expect it. If you find yourself in a similar situation, having already been victimized by a fraudulent wallet or exchange, don’t lose hope. Passcode Cyber Recovery specializes in these exact scenarios where apps suddenly go offline, taking your money with them. Don’t let these thieves win, fight back with the best in the business and reclaim what is rightfully yours. Your financial security is worth the effort. Thank you Passcode Cyber Recovery
Fake Wallet App Scam review // PASSCODE CYBER RECOVERY
ReplyDeleteWhat began as a straightforward effort to manage my crypto savings quickly turned into a distressing ordeal. I had been holding Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and XRP, and decided to download what seemed to be a legitimate cryptocurrency wallet app from the App Store. The interface was flawless, closely resembling the official wallet I had previously used. With no apparent warning signs, I felt secure enough to transfer $850,000 worth of Bitcoin into the app. A few days later, I opened the app to check my balance, only to be met with shock when my crypto account displayed a balance of zero. I attempted to refresh the app, hoping it was just a temporary glitch, but the grim truth soon became clear: I had fallen prey to a sophisticated scam. The app was a fraudulent imitation, designed solely to deceive users and siphon off their funds.I contacted Passcode Cyber Recovery, a cybersecurity firm renowned for recovering stolen digital assets. Their team promptly initiated an investigation into the scam. Within days, they traced the counterfeit wallet app back to a developer located overseas, who had a history of similar fraudulent activities. I soon learned that I was not alone, this was part of a larger scheme targeting cryptocurrency users worldwide. Thanks to Passcode Cyber Recovery , I managed to recover all of the money I had lost. The recovery process was intense, but their efforts paid off, and I was able to retrieve the full amount of $850,000. This has reinforced my commitment to safeguarding my digital assets. I now thoroughly vet app developers and only trust links from the official websites of reputable crypto platforms. While the incident was both financially and emotionally taxing, the successful recovery of my funds has provided me with a sense of relief and security moving forward.
