Their 2016 Estate Syrah is 100% Syrah from the Windy Ridge vineyard, it saw time in French and American oak, and it will cost you $49. That nose is lively! There's notes of big black cherries, black table pepper, back licorice, raisins, and caramel. It's big and bold, savory, spicy and BRILLIANT! Reminds me of a Côte-Rôtie but still clearly from a hot climate. Pair with Camembert cheese with cured meat or a big o' ribeye.
